Masters audition in just a few days! Somehow I think I'm beyond nervous... when I first received the email, I was fully panicking, now... it's just... I'm-not-ready-but-I-can't-be-bothered. Been listening to Capsule's "Milk Tea Time" (ミルクティーの時間) on loop for at least 100 times already, 49 seconds of cuteness on loop =) So feeling rather happy, I shall blog about Day 6~ because Day 6 will be short.

From Singapore
Morning! Breakfast at hawker centre where we had fried you tiao.. um.. how to describe this to people who've never had them... it's like long bread stick, but the texture is like donuts! Really nice~

From Singapore
Soy bean milk!

From Singapore
Their xiao long bao, which wasn't as nice as, say, Din Tai Feng, or Shanghai Tan, but still good, because it's xlb- the nicest dumpling ever~

From Singapore
They were well known for their tea-soaked eggs, and even though I've never been a big fan of hard boiled eggs, it was pretty good.

We wandered around a huge computer centre where there were storeys filled with electronics. Didn't take many photos, it was a super super super hot day and I wasn't feeling well either, but then we did see this pico projector for sale and it's this hand sized projector that can project movies and photos up onto the ceiling! Just imagine lying in bed and watching movies on your ceiling! It did cost $500, and upon more research, realised that it's still a kinda new technology- it will improve and get cheaper soon, so I shall refrain from buying one =)

Then we got lost getting to Bugis Junction, where we were supposed to walk through a lot of cheap stalls and mini market to get to, but we didn't end up getting there at all, until we asked for directions ^^'' Oh gosh, next time I'll bring a map or something, it's NOT fun getting lost in Singapore, because it's so humid, there's no difference whether you're in the sun or shade. As long as you're walking around outside, it WILL be hot and you will get all sticky and uncomfortable!

From Singapore
Lunch was at this western restaurant, but I forgot the name.

From Singapore
Wee, lobster! I've been having an obsession with lobsters lately and must have eaten... quite a lot. Before this obsession, I haven't had lobsters for years because I preferred prawns, but now, it's lobsters all the way! XD

Wandered around Bugis Junction and met up with M and my sister before heading to dinner. They just KNEW we'd get lost (are we that "blur"??) ^^ but it's all good, food solves all matters~

From Singapore
Dinner was at Mushroom Pot, our third buffet during this trip, first being the Japanese Buffet from Day 1, and then Meat Buffet at Carnivore from Day 5, and Day 6 is... a Mushroom Buffet! This, we definitely do not have in Sydney!

From Singapore
It's a steamboat~

From Singapore
You get to choose some starters and then the yinyang pot comes. We chose a normal chicken soup base I think? And M wanted "ma la" soup, which is this really really red spicy soup where they put these small peppercorns that just sting your whole mouth when you accidentally bite into one.

From Singapore
Our selection of starters

From Singapore
First dishes, selection of mushrooms and some liver.

From Singapore
I forgot what this was, but it's like hairy monkey head's mushroom or something. Wait, I'm sure that's not what it's called, but the texture of it felt pretty similar.

From Singapore
Next, we went to Timbre, this outdoor bar/social place to chill.

From Singapore
Mango lime mix~ I think it was either mango or lime, but then I chose mango for tt first... then tt decided to change it to lime, then I think the waiter got a little mixed up and decided to make it mango and lime.

From Singapore
This was... a gunner? I don't know ._.

From Singapore
Some green concoction. Witch's brew =P

From Singapore
Unbelievable. They could still eat. After the mushroom buffet, I was pretty much gone, and they still ordered a pizza.

From Singapore
Oh this!! I definitely had room for this, and if I didn't, I'll make room! This was from Stamford Hotel. It's a really special mooncake- it's snowskin wrapped around sweet filling, and this one was my sister's chocolate chips in white chocolate. It's crunchy. There's this other one that's green, where the "yolk" is a white chocolate truffle. THAT one was really to die for.

End of Day 6~ Past the half way mark! I might actually be able to finish blogging about Singapore afterall~

Ah, those mooncakes are much nicer than they look. Maybe it's just me though since I always have the ordinary ones, which aren't really that great >_>.

because you don't like the yolk, which is the best part of the mooncake. =P

Mushroom buffet... that sounds great! The other 2 probably won't enjoy that though :|

It is good and healthy =) does that mean you don't get to eat mushrooms much because those 2 won't eat it?

I eat mushrooms regardless of whether they eat it or not. But I don't think they'd like to go to a restaurant dedicated to mushrooms :P
